Year of the Yveltal 

We can say for sure when fright night Yveltal was released in BreakThrough, we knew this card would be very playable and very strong in the meta! especially vs low HP and the more popular EX's like Shaymin EX. The only problem so far for that card, or even the complete deck, was Greninja BREAK with 170 HP. But on the other side - Garbodor can help this deck be even more stronger. 

In the past few months, this deck has dominated the standard format in the Master division. The winner in the Orlando Regionals played a Yveltal/Garbodor deck. Clash of the titans also happened in Fort Wayne, both the winner and the runner up played the Yveltal/Garbodor deck! Finally, last week in London (EU), the Pokemon European International Championship winner and runner up also played Yveltal/Garbodor. 

The last 3 big tournaments had the same name on top! What else can we say - the Yveltal/Garbodor deck is a safe bet to play at any local tournament or your local league. So far this deck is very strong in the Standard Format. 

The lack of strong competitive lightning Pokemon in the format will just help this deck be played even more. The best way to counter the deck is to play a couple crushing hammers and at least one enhanced hammer per deck with Olympia so you can be prepared to counter it.
