Pokemon Sun & Moon Set, For the players!

With the new Pokemon Sun & Moon set almost upon us, we will get some new Pokemon GX cards, powerful Stage 2 Pokemon and new trainers. 

Some interesting cards to look for in this set, from a player prospective are as follows :

Lapras GX with 190HP and "Ice Beam GX" for 2 water and 1 colorless energy for 100 - and the opponent's Active Pokemon is Paralyzed! Also for a single water energy, Lapras can use "Collect" and draw 3 cards. Crobat is back in the game with "Triple Poison“ for a single psy energy. As usual, the opponents' active Pokemon is poisoned, and it will take 3 instead of 1 damage counter per turn. Espeon GX, a stage 1 with 200 HP and "Psybeam“ for 30 and defending, and the Pokemon is confused for a single psy energy! "Division GX“ attack for a single psy and 2 colorless can place 10 damage counters on the opponent's Pokemon in any way you like. This attack can take multiple k.o.'s in single turn!

Toxapex can be a good tech card in any deck since the "Toxic Spikes“ ability says that when the opponent's acitve Pokemon retreats, the new active Pokemon is now poisoned! Wow! 

Solgaleo GX, a beast with 250 HP is a stage 2 Pokemon but with the "Ultra Road“ ability that alows players to switch his active Pokemon with 1 of his benched Pokemon. For 2 metal and 1 colorless energy he can strike for 230 damage and discard all energys. For a single metal energy "Sol Burst GX“ can search your deck for up to 5 energy cards and attach them to your Pokemon in play. 

Eevee, with Energy Evolution is back in the game! This Eevee will help GX Eevolutions to see more and more play. Crushing Hammer will see another reprint in Sun & Moon as well. Timer Ball is a great new ball for evolution decks - it says flip 2 coins and for each heads, search your deck for an Evolution Pokemon. It can replace an ultra ball or a level ball easily. Exp. Share is another good card that will see another version - it was reprinted in Primal Clash before new this new reprint in Sun & Moon. Ilima is a new supporter card that says each player shuffles their hand into their deck and flips a coin. Heads, and each player will draw 6 cards and for a Tails it will be 3 cards. It can be a good special for turn 1 instead of N or Sycamore, especially when players can use the advantage playing Hoopa or Shaymin etc. Professor Kukui is also new supporter - draw 2 cards and during this turn your Pokemon's attacks do 20 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokemon. It's something like Giovanni, but little bit better. 

Ultra Ball Secret Rare was reprinted in the Japanese set, we still dont know if this card will be reprinted in English. 

Pinsir is broken card, for DCE he can return an opponent active Pokemon in hand if player with Pinsir in play flip heads on coin flip. 

Lurantis GX, with Flover Supply can hit for 40 and attach 2 basic energy cards from your discard pile to the Pokemon in play. It is a stage one and is a very powerful card for almost any deck as tech!

Alolan Muk is also interesting card to talk about, with "Power of Alchemy“ - as long as this Pokemon is in play, each player's Basic Pokemon in play will have no abilities. It is a bit like Garbodor, but only for basic Pokemon. 

Lunala GX with 250 HP stage 2 with a Psychic Transfer ability, which says that as often as you like during your turn, you may move psy energy from 1 to another Pokemon in play. It can be a great special used with Max Potion! Lunar Fall GX for 3 psy energys can k.o. 1 opponents basic Pokemon from play!

Umbreon GX is new secret weapon for dark decks. It can evolve T1 and for 1 darkness and 1 DCE he can strike for 90 and 30 to 1 opponenet's benched Pokemon. This GX attack can also discard 2 energy attached to the opponent's Pokemon in play, so this can even happen on T1. 

Taurus GX with "Rage" can also be a good tech in any deck, since he can go for DCE 20 plus 10 more for each damage counter on him, or with GX Mad Bull for 30 times number of damage counter on it. 

Nest Ball is one of the best cards in this set. It searches your deck for a Basic Pokemon and puts it onto the Bench. Compare that to ultra ball where you need to have 2 cards in order to play it. This will be "staple" in any basic deck. 

Team Skull Grunt is nice new disruptive card that forces your opponent to reveal his or her hand, and if there are any energy cards, the player who played Skull Grunt can discard 2 energy cards from opponent hand. 

Decidueye-GX with the Feather Arrow ability is good card to take a look at, since it can once during turn and place 2 damage counters on an opponents Pokemon in play. It is a Stage 2 Pokemon, so I dont this it will be played a lot, but it has good potential. 

Primarina-GX has the best GX attack in play, its Grand Echo GX for 1 DCE, and it can heal all damage from each of your Pokemon in play. This card is broken with the Grand Echo attack, but stil it's a stage 2 Pokemon. 

Sun & Moon is interesting set looking from player prospective, especially if SR Ultra Ball will also be reprinted. The few strong GX Pokemon will be played in many decks like Umbreon GX! Stay tuned for more news!
