Powerful Sun and Moon Abilities

Bring powerful abilities into game with new Sun & Moon cards!

With the latest Pokemon set Sun & Moon we have some new powerful Pokemon abilities! There are nineteen Pokemon cards with abilities in total, and today we are going to take a closer look at some of them.

Alolan Muk "Power of Aclhemy" - Each Basic Pokemon in play, in each player's hand and in each player's discard pile has no Abilities. Alolan Muk is the future Garbodor in the Standard format and it will be a tech in many T1 decks. Power of Alchemy can easily turn off, without tools, all Basic Pokemon abilities.

Decidueye GX "Feather Arrow" - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may put 2 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokemon in play. Decidueye GX ability is one of the strongest abilities in game. With up to four Decidueye GX in play, without even attacking, a player can put up to 8 damage counters on an opponent's Pokemon in play.

Eevee "Energy Evolution" - When players attach a basic Energy card from their hand to Eevee, he can search his deck for a Pokemon that evolves from Eevee for the same type of energy card. Example - Psy energy for Espeon GX. This can be done on turn 1 or the same turn when Eevee become the active Pokemon in play (bench).

Lunala GX "Psychic Transfer" - As often as you like during your turn (before your attack) you may move a "Psy" energy from 1 of your Pokemon to another of your Pokemon. With Lunalas' GX Psychic Transfer, there are many decks that can use the advantage of energy flow and max potion for max damage heal.

Oranguru "Instruct" - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may draw cards until you have 3 cards in your hand. Oranguru looks like it's going to be another "Shaymin EX" but in the non EX version with the ability to draw cards only up to 3!

Shiinotic "Illuminate" - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may search your deck for a grass Pokemon, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your deck. With Illuminate and Shiinotic on the bench, grass decks can set up a lot easier. Shiinotic can be a good tech in Lurantis GX or a Decidueye GX deck.

Solgaleo GX "Ultra Road" - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may switch your Active Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon. It's a stage 2 Pokemon, but with a powerful Sol Burst GX attack. With one of the best GX attacks in game, and the switch ability, Solgaleo GX can be a great tech in any deck.

Vikavolt "Strong Charge" - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may search your deck for a grass and lightning energy card and attach them to your Pokemon in any way you like. Vikavolt is stage 2 Pokemon, but with the Strong Charge ability is so good. Free energy acceleration is always welcome as well. If the future standard format will be without Lysandre, Vikavolt will see bright future.
