Buzzwole GX

Hello Pokemon fans! Today we will take a closer look at one interesting deck that can simply counter some popular decks in the current standard format. This is an Umbreon GX/Hoopa Deck. Now many of you will say, well, Buzzwole GX is a thing, well it is but, but this deck has Hoopa with the Scoundrel Guard ability that can simply block Buzzwole and any other GX from doing any damage to it. On the other hand, with Umbreon GX we can Strafe for just a single darkness energy for 30 or 60 if we have a Choice Band attached on it, and switch back to the Hoopa. Some other good tech can be included in this deck as well For example Mew from the Fates Collide or Mewtwo from the Evolutios. Mew and Mewtwo can both be strong and good against Necrozma GX or Buzzwole cause they can hit for the weakness.

One tech that we decided to include from the Pokemon, is Giratina with the Devour Light ability. This guy can stop a Greninja BREAK deck. Greninja BREAK deck is a six prize attack deck and its really hard to play agaist it, but with that Giratina its not a big problem. Some other Pokemon that are on this deck list are Tapu Koko with free retreat and Flying Flip and also Oranguru with the Instruct.

Umbreon GX can set easily double hit K.O. with that Shadow Bullet attack for 90 and 30 on the bench. With Strafe we can have an easy retreat. For example, in some cases, even playing something like the Tauros GX to Strafe on it is not a bad idea. We just decided to play Umbreon with Enhanced Hammers and Dark Call GX. Since with x2 Enhanced Hammer we can discard in theory two special energy cards from our opponents Pokemon in play, plus we can also discard two more with that Dark Call GX. Dark Call GX can slow our opponents a lot.

Some other good tech cards in this deck are Reverse Valley for the extra 10 damage and double Acerola. Once we have taken some damage from our opponents Pokemon in play we can simply put one of our Pokemon that has any damage counters on it and all cards attached to it into our hand. So with double Acerola it will be even harder for our opponent to score K.O. and win against this build. There is one of each cards for energy and Pokemon recover, Rescue Stretcher, Special Charge and Super Rod. Nine draw supporters featuring three of each, Cynthia, N and Sycamore for the best possible consistency with the triple Guzma as well.

Overall this deck works really well and its a nice counter for the current meta.
