Jumbo or oversized Pokemon cards are not tournament legal cards, they are mostly printed for promotional purposes. The first ever jumbo Pokemon card was printed back in 2000, and it was a Pikachu card from base set. They were not so common back then as they are these days. Some of the most expensive jumbo cards are the one from Aquapolis, (mostly crystal or secret rares from that set like Charizard or Ho-Oh). Some of the same normal size cards can be worth more than few hundred dollars today!

Jumbo cards are really popular these days and multiple sealed Pokemon products are released every year with jumbo Pokemon cards. Some jumbo cards are only available in Europe, for example (Mega Charizard EX so they are not so common as Mega Beedrill EX for example).

Usually, sealed products that contains a promo cards also comes with jumbo Pokemon card, (example Pikachu EX box from Generations or Mega Salamence EX from Premium Collection). Over the time jumbo cards can growth in value, same as the normal tournament legal cards. Some of them can be worth even more than the normal tournament legal cards after a while!
