A brand new, interesting Pokemon set with the name "Shining Legends" will be released in America on October 6th.

Shining Legends is a special mini set that will contain 78 cards. This set is very similar to the Generations set that was printed in XY era. There will not be a sealed booster box for this set, but cards can be found in Elite trainer boxes and some other special box sets as well.

One very interesting and nostalgic thing about this set are the new Shining Pokemon. There are 6 different Shining Pokemon in this set, like in the Neo generation, but they don't have 3 stars.

From a collectors perspective, Shining Rayquaza looks like the best investment. On the other hand, Shining Jirachi and Shining Mew looks like the best for competitive play. The expected value for Shining cards should be around 30$, some more, some less. There are also 4 new GX Pokemon, Zoroark, Mewtwo, Raichu and Entei. From a player perspective, Zoroark GX and Raichu GX have great potential, especially Zoroark GX. With 210 HP and a strong ability with a powerfull attack for a single DCE, Zoroark could be the new meta when the set releases!

Some other interesing cards in this set are grass Shaymin, a good tech card for any deck that uses Rainbow energy, as well for any grass deck since the first attack can shuffle your hand into the deck for only one energy and draw six new cards!

Reshiram and Zekrom are reprinted from old NXD set! Water decks will also get a cool new tech Manaphy card that can heal 20 damage per turn from 1 Pokemon with water energy. Raikou with Booming Thunder is also a good new tech for lighting decks with Booming Thunder for 1 energy - it can hit for 30 and attach an energy from the discard pile to one benched Pokemon (energy must be lighting). The last interesting Pokemon from this set is Hoopa - with the "Scoundrel Guard" ability that can prevent all effects of attacks, including damage done to Hoopa from a GX or EX.

Some other trainer cards will also be reprinted in this set - for example: Hau, Lillie, Catcher, Sophocles, SSU, Ultra Ball. Overall a great new set with lots of new cards for both players and collectors!
