Zygarde GX - Broken?!

Hello Poke fans! Today we will talk a little bit about the new card from the latest Forbbiden light set. Zygarde GX, a 200 HP fighting Pokemon with Verdict GX. For a DCE and two fighting energy cards, Zygarde GX can use the Verdict GX attack. The base damage for this attack is 150, but with Diance and Regirock EX on the bench, Verdict GX can grow up to 180 and with Choice Band up to 210. With 210 damage we can 1 HKO almost every popular GX in the current format, except the Gardevoir GX, since he is a 230 HP Pokemon. However the good thing about the Verdict GX attack is also the fact that our opponents' EX or GX can't attack Zygarde GX once he used Verdict GX.

Four energy cost might sound like a lot, but with Max Elixir/Puzzle of time combo, it's not that hard to power Zygarde GX, not even on turn one. On the other hand, even with just a single DCE on the active Zygarde GX and couple fighting energy cards in our discard pile, we can attack with the Cell Connector for 50. And again, this attack can be even stronger, for 60 more with Choice Band, DIance and Regirock EX on the bench, plus we can also attach two fighting energy cards from our discard pile to the active Zygarde GX, which means next turn, Zygarde GX is able to use Verdict GX attack.

So with Zygarrde GX as the main attacker and some other support Pokemon like the Regirock EX and Diancie for extra damage, Zoroark GX with the Trade for the extra card draw, Zygarde looks like really strong deck that can be a big problem for the curent meta.

On the other hand, there are some other tech cards like the Strong Energy that could be included in the build as well, so it has the potential and ability to even 1 HKO a Pokemon with 210 HP+. Any grass deck will be a huge problem for Zygrade, since Zygarde is weak against the grass, but still Zoroark can help in that case to try balance it a little bit untill we manage to set up one Zygarde GX for that Verdict GX attack.

Zygarde GX would not be that good if there was not a Bonnie. Bonnie is a supporter card that can be only used if there is any stadium card in play. We must discard that stadium card from play and then our Zygarde GX can use it's GX attack again, even if we already used our GX attack.

So in theory, with Bonnie on each turn, if our opponent doesn't have strong non GX attackr, he might wont be able to get K.O. against our Zygarde once we start to use Verdict GX attack.
