Lost Thunder is here! The best cards from the new set

Hello everyone! This is Elena from Gaia Storm TCG and today we are going to talk about the new and exciting set Lost Thunder. Before we start analyzing the best cards that can be found here as well as its competitive impact in the game, let’s take a moment to consider that this is the largest set ever made. Collectors are for sure going for sure going to have a challenge ahead! Lost Thunder comes packed with amazing new cards that will both help existing strategies become more efficient and bring new decks to the pole position… so let’s jump in a see some of them.

Starting first with the new Pokémon, Ninetales GX seems to be gathering almost all the attention thanks to its incredible ability searching items. Combined with two very efficient attacks, it has the perfect versatility to fit in almost any deck. Then, we have Blacephalon GX, a heavy hitter attacker capable of dealing tons of damage with the new Naganadel. The deck is extremely consistent reaching high numbers so I would expect it to perform very well once it becomes legal. In the opposite side, we are also receiving small little Pokémon that can become crazy when combined together: Lost March! While I don’t see it becoming as powerful as Night March once did, it has for sure some very interesting potential in a metagame where GX cards dominate.

Moving onto the items and supporters part, there are some very welcome additions to the TCG. Sightseer will become a staple in practically any deck with a much needed discarding effect. Professor Elm also makes a debut and will take the crucial place that Bridgette once had before it rotated, helping enormously evolution decks like Zoroark variants setting up. Regarding the items, it is great to see that many different types receive a boost. For instance, Fairy and Electric type Pokémon gain a lot of support with the arrival of Charms, Mina and Electropower while Morty and Spell Tag gives more power to Psychic.

However, there are other generic cards worth considering. Counter Gain, for instance, will help players pull out surprises comebacks out of nowhere! Besides, a total of 7 new prims cards will also be introduced in the set, featuring for the first time three incredible Stadium cards in this category. Ditto Prims is probably going to be one of the most used prism cards because of its capacity to become any stage 1 Pokémon but the rest of the cards also have some solid effects like Xerneas, Celebi or Lusamine.

So, as you can see, there are huge possibilities with the arrival of the new set. Lost Thunder has all the features to become one of the most influential expansions of the Sun and Moon era so don’t wait to get all the new and powerful cards that come with it!
