Best Budget Spread Deck!

Hello Pokemon fans! Today we would like to share one of the decks our partners at Pokemon TCG Center used to win one of their tournaments. It is a Greninja GX, Weavile and Tapu Koko spread deck as the title says!

Why is this deck in my opinion “the best” spread deck in the current meta? Well, there are many good spread decks like Malamar and Tapu Koko or Tapu Koko and Passimian, but I prefer Greninja GX with Weavile and Tapu Koko overall because the current meta is all about Zoroark and Malamar. Since almost any Pokemon in a Malamar and Zoroark deck has ability, this is an easy job for Weavile. Weavile can hit for 60 for a single energy any Pokemon in play that has an ability. Tapu Koko can attack with DCE for 20 and spread 20 more damage to all opponent’s benched Pokemon. Frogadier and Greninja can also put two or three damage counters on one of our opponent’s Pokemon in play once we evolve Froakie to Frogadier or Frogadier to Greninja GX. With Greninja GX we can also hit for 130 on the bench once per game with his GX attack. Greninja's GX attack cost is pretty decent, a single water and DCE for 110 - and we can even shuffle Greninja GX and all cards attached to it back into our deck and remove all damage counters from it. Since Greninja is a 230 HP Pokemon, it’s not that easy for the opponent’s Pokemon to 1HKO Greninja GX.

This deck can win against pretty much any Malamar deck, with Po Town in play and Weavile, we can K.O. in a single turn, multiple Malamars from play with just a single energy card. And again, if we play against a non ability deck, we can use Tapu Koko Flying Flip and Frogadier and Greninja's GX ability for damage spread. In the mid to late game, if we have more prize cards left than our opponent, we can swap damage counters from one to another opponent’s Pokemon with Counter Energy and Tapu Lele Magical Swap.

Volcanion can also be used as semi-Pokemon catcher with ability. There is also Zebstrika with Sprint so we don’t have to worry about draw support! Marshadow and Tapu Lele GX will also help us to disrupt our opponent at T1. Another good thing about this deck is that it also plays for Super Scoop Up’s and an Acerola. If I flip heads on the coin flip I can scoop one of my Pokemon from play. We can also use Tapu Lele for another supporter search or Marshadow for another Let Loose, or even Greninja GX for extra damage spread.

With Po Town and Shrine of Punishment I can also force my opponent to get even more damage counters on their Pokemon in play between turns.

Overall, if you are the type of player that enjoys to play Pokemon TCG and you would like to play a fun, interesting but also competitive deck then this is the deck for you! My advice is to try to build it, see how it works, tweak it a bit maybe for your current meta and show how good you can be with this deck!
